'She Is Is A Force Of Nature' - Edeh Admits Admiration For Motunrayo Ezekiel After Hat-trick.

Naija Ratels President, Barrister Paul Edeh has said Wednesday Hat-trick Heroine, Motunrayo Ezekiel had predicted she would score thrice against Pelican Stars, two days earlier.   Edeh also admitted his admiration for the  'Extraordinary Talent' Motunrayo Ezekiel, while hinting that her hat-trick wouldn't have been possible if not for the supports of her teammates.  The 18- year old despite still being in the early stages of her career has developed herself into one of the best players in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, so much that she's widely regarded as a rare talent.  Poor Attention, Facilities bane of Grassroot Sports Development - OAU Don, Prof. Adedoyin Professor of Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Physiotherapy, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Professor Rufus Adedoyin  has attributed challenges bedeviling grassroot sports development to poor attention and lack of facilities on the part of the government and private individuals. Speaking on Wednesday during the Stakeholders' Forum, a monthly Interview program of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Osun State Chapter, Prof. Adedoyin said this has also led to the poor performance of Nigeria age grade teams and athletes at the intercontinental and international competitions. Olamide Adugbe has proven to be one of the best players of her age, and is already compared with some of the best Nigerian women footballers.  The young forward broke into the scene earlier this season, scoring important goals for NWFL Premiership side, Naija Ratels. The Edo-born striker scored one of the best goal in the league on Matchday two against Edo Queens at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium. All Is Set For The Maiden Edition Of Soccer Queens Cup.

All is set for the maiden edition of the Soccer Queens Cup, a women football Competition amongst grassroots teams across the six geo-political area of Nigeria.  The prestigious grassroot Competition will hold from the 7th to the 14th of February 2022 at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja and will feature teams namely, Abruka Queens FC (North Central), Jewel Queens FC (North East), Kaduna Queens Feeders FC (North West), Imo Strikers FC (South East), Fortress Ladies FC (South-South), and Royaltoms Queens (South West).  Speaking on the preparedness for the Competition, the Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Moses Bako said all the six teams will arrive Lokoja, the Capital of Kogi State on or before Monday, the 7th of February, ahead of opening match which will come up on the 8th. "All logistics have been put in place for us to have a very successful competition. We understand that teams are coming from far and it is our responsibility to give them the best form of hospitality.  &

Ekene Adams, Remo Stars GM Travels Abroad For Medical Check-Up

Remo Stars General Manager, Ekene Adams will travel to Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) for another round of his medical check-up. The former KADA City boss who returned to football management this season with the Sky Blues Stars after staying away for about two years, on the advice of his doctor, has concluded plans for another medical trip as he bids for full recovery. In a chat a few days to his departure, as he also expressed his delight after Remo Stars pipped 3SC by a lone goal on MatchDay 11 at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne. "I was supposed to travel back three months after I had my first surgery, but the date elapsed after our NPFL game against Rivers United.
