NFF Seeks Partnership And Collaboration With The National Technology Development Agency For eFootball

Over 2000 international Elite athletes register for Gold-Label Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, as Expo begins

Over two thousand international Elite athletes from across the world have registered for the Gold-Label Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, setting a record of entries for any Marathon race on the continent of Africa. The General Manager of the race, Yussuf Alli, said at the weekend that: "The Elite entries would have been more, if the organisers had not regulated it to a barest size over a week ago.  Towards effective and efficient management of the race. The large size was expected at it's one of the effects of a  Gold-Label race. And Nilayo Sports Management is ready for it." Yussuf, revealed that, majority of the Elite athletes are from Europe, East Africa, North Africa, West Africa, Asia and South America.  "And out of the pool of registered international Elite athletes, the organisers have officially invited 47 male and 29 female world class athletes that will lead the bunch of first class athletes in the race. 8th Access Bank Lagos City Marathon Billed To Hold On February 4.

The 2023 edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon will hold on the 4th of February, and this is according to the CEO of Nilayo Limited, Hon. Bukola Olopade. Hon. Olapade, a former Commissioner of Sports in Ogun State. CEO of Nilayo Limited, who is the concept holder of the Lagos Marathon Race, and a passionate sports administrator gave the date.  Ahead of the 2023 Lagos City Marathon, the organisers  @nilayosports have confirmed  that the Expo will begin on January 23rd & run through to February 2nd. The period of one week, will feature the Kits Pickup by the Marathon runners, and complementary activities; like exhibition race, health talk and more.

Nine NWFL Premiership Referees Suspended Over Questionable Officiating

  The Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) has suspended three NWFL Premiership Centre Referees and their assistants indefinitely and have been summoned to appear before the Referee's Committee to answer questions relating to questionable Officiating in three matches in which they were incharge.  The three matches where poor officiating was adjudged are:   Osun Babes Vs Delta Queens.  Adamawa Queens Vs Nasarawa Amazons Rivers Angels Vs Delta Queens  According to a release issued by the Secretary of the NRA on Monday, the 16th of January 2023, three Centre Referee namely Joy Ogunboye from the Ondo Referee Association, Beatrice Paul from the Taraba Referee Association and Olufunke Adesola from the Oyo Referee Association were all suspended indefinitely.  The Assistant Referees Suspended also are Olusi Kikelomo, Ajirotutu Esther all from Ondo State, Elizabeth Yunusa Gombe and Wurba Bwulli Ruth from Plateau State, Rofiat Abdulrasheed and Aladenika Adetutu from Oyo and Ondo respectively.

Egbedore United will take on Osun FA team , Osogbo on Sunday in the final game of the 2022/2023 Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup at the Osogbo City Stadium. Osun FA came from behind in the first Semi-Final on Tuesday, to beat a well spirited Ilesa East FC 2-1. The organisers of the Gold-Label Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Nilayo Sports Management Limited,  has declared the organisation's readiness for all peculiarities of the host City, Lagos, as they conclude preparations for the February 4 Gold- Label Race, the first of its kind in Nigeria. The Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited and initiator of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon,  Honourable Bukola Olopade, disclosed Monday that, his team led by its General Manager, Yusuf Ali, is ready for all the peculliarities of Lagos to ensure the success of the first Gold-Label full marathon race in Nigeria. Olopade, noted: "At last year's race, we noticed some darkness at the starting point, which obstructed some of the opening formalitites, such that we had to delay the flag off for some minutes.  "That is why, for this year's race, the official flag-off time has been readjusted and rescheduled for 7am and not 6am as it used to be in previous races."

27-Year-Old Sports-Loving Lawyer Battles Lung Cancer, Needs N10m For Treatment.

A young Sports-Loving  Nigerian Lady Lawyer, Victory Okolie Esq., 27, is in dire need of N10,000,000 (Ten Million) for necessary medical procedures, to save her life from being cut short by a stage 4 lung cancer. This is in spite of the fact that she has never smoked nor drank in her life. It all started with constant tight chest pains which was diagnosed and treated as ulcer. However, it became severe and resulted into a massive pleural effusion, leading to 4440mls of fluid being drained from her lungs at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). Series of further investigations carried out by different hospitals showed and confirmed that she has lung cancer.
