Governor Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke would lead government functionaries and other eminent dignitaries to Osogbo Township Stadium, the venue of 2024 Federations Cup Final billed for Saturday, 30th March, 2024. The Local Organizing Committee received a protest claiming that Ife Anglican Grammar School used six non-school players in their semi-final match against Lanre Leke Sports Academy, Ile Ogbo.  Upon investigation, it was discovered that the players in question had left the school three years ago, which violated the tournament's rules.  The Local Organizing Committee, led by Yomi Elijah, conducted a thorough investigation that involved verifying the players' registration forms with the Ministry of Education in Osogbo.  The forms were found to have been doctored, and the committee concluded that Ife Anglican Grammar School had indeed used ineligible players. It was an action-packed Monday at the football pitch of Ataoja School Of Science, Osogbo, as the venue hosted the 1st and 2nd semi-final matches of the prestigious Osun School Sports Foundation Governors Cup. Sponsored by Peculiar Ultimate Concerns LTD and organized by the School's Sport Foundation, the semi-finals witnessed thrilling encounters and showcased the talent and dedication of young footballers from across the region. In the first semi-final showdown, Ataoja School Of Science dominated the field, securing a commanding 8-1 victory over Community Grammar School, Iperindo. The Ataoja team displayed exceptional skill and teamwork, with standout performances from Peter Oyeniran, who netted four (4) goals, and Aminulahi Ismail, among others. The maiden edition of the Schools Sports Foundation Osun Governor's Cup has entered the Semi-Final stage with four teams set for what analysts believe will be a fierce battle for slots in the final.  On Thursday, Anglican Grammar School, Ile-Ife mauled Ede Muslim Grammar School, with six unreplied goals. Afolabi Rasheed opened scoring in the third minute, Akinola Kehinde and Oyesunbola Iyanuoluwa scored a brace each, before Akinlabi Marvelous crowned it up , to take the goal tally to six against the Ede based School.  In the other Semifinal game on Thursday, Community Grammar School, Iperindo defeated Ansarudeen Grammar School by a lone goal.  On Friday, Lanreleke Sports Academy, became the third team to book a spot in the Semi-Finals after they impressively defeated Inisa Grammar School, by six goals to one.
