NLO Director CSP Amaraizu Bags Africa Illustrious Award

The Africa Illustrious Award has honoured the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu with an award of Professionalism Per Excellence. The Chief Superintendent of Police, who also is the Director of South East, Nationwide League One Board was among well-meaning Nigerians in the sports industry that bagged an award hosted by Africa Illustrious Award at the Oriental Hotels in Lagos. According to Africa Illustrious Award, Amaraizu's recognition is in line with the African Illustrious Award's vision to project and promote excellence in Africa, not as an exception, but as a consistent pattern in the modern African experience under the above. Rafiat Sule just can't stop scoring at the moment as she scored a great goal for Vicenza Calcio Femminile in the 27th minute which was enough to seal an important away win at the expense of Portogruaro Calcio Femminile. Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup: More Teams Qualify For Round Of 16 After Day Five.

More teams have booked their places in the Round of sixteen of the ongoing Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup.  Three teams progressed on Saturday at the Anwaru-Islam Grammar School, Iwo, Community High School, Ile-Igbo and Aiyedaade Grammar School, Ikire.  While two more booked their Round of sixteen Places on Monday at the Agboran Grammar School Ede.  On Saturday, Nurudeen Aremu's 36th minute goal and Bello Shuiab's 90th minute goal, gave Atenigbola FC Iwo a 2-0 edge over their rival Ola-Oluwa Utd. The Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup continued at the C&S Grammar School, Ilesa on Matchday three with mouth-watering encounters.   In the first game of the day, Idowu Omidiji scored the only goal, to give Ilesa East FC a victory over neighbours Ilesa West, thereby advancing to the next round. Atakumosa East FC were clearly the better side in the second game of the Ilesha centre, as they dominated play from the blast of the whistle till the end, to defeat Atakumosa West FC 3-0.  Falaye Dunsin scored a brace before Tosin Fanibi made it three, to complete a  comprehensive win over Ilesa West.  The last game of the day was keenly contested, as Oriade FC beat Obokun FC by two goals to one.  Adekunle David and Tosin Sammi were the goalscorers for Oriade, while David Thompson scored the only goal for Obokun United.  So far, eight teams have advanced to the round of 16.   Smart City Football Club on Thursday lost 2-0 to Ajegunle United FC in their final game of the group stages.  Smart City came into the game with high expectations, but, however, their hopes was dashed, by Ajegunle United, who edged them 2-0 to end their run in the tournament. Speaking after the game, Smart City coach, Gafari Mohammed, said, he is not happy about the result, as he feels the scoreline didn't justify how good they played in the game.  "It's not the kind of result, we expected, we played a good game, but we didn't take our chances and we paid for it" He said. Nath Boys Head Coach Samuel Oyelade has said he is satisfied with his side's performance, despite losing to Kwara United on Thursday morning, stressing that though, they should have done better in the game, but played to instructions and are still learning. The Lagos-based side slumped to a 4-0 defeat in the hands of NPFL side, Kwara United at the Maracana Soccer Pitch, in a game that saw a complete domination from the Ilorin based team. "It wasn't really a bad game, we have our all, but it wasn't good enough.  "It is indeed a great honour to play in this competition. I feel really excited playing against a team like Kwara United.
