The Management of Bayelsa Queens FC has Disassociated itself from the report going round of a purported boycott of the new season of the Nigeria Women Football League scheduled to kick off on September 14.   This was contained in a statement credited to Chairman Bayelsa Queens Pastor Robin Apreala Angonimi that the club would not want to meddle in affairs that would derail it's target of giving Nigeria a worthy representation at the CAF WAFU-B Championship in Cote D'Ivoire and picking the sole ticket for the African Champions League in Morocco.    The statement further outlined that as a State sponsored team, the decision to boycott or not the upcoming NWFL season does not lie on one man. The Nigeria Women Football League has expressed shock on the letter written by the Club Owners Association, dated July 22, to inform the Secretariat of the Nigeria Women Football League on their purported elective meeting on July 21. The South West states participating in the maiden edition of the Western Nigeria Football Forum/ Taiwo Ogunjobi Memorial U-15 Football Tournament are intensifying preparations for the event.  The tournament will hold in Osogbo as from 16th to 21st August with the award ceremony holding in the evening of the final at a yet to be named venue. Information available to the tournament media team reveals that Oyo State has completed its screening exercise for the state representatives and have commenced training in earnest.  Lagos and Ekiti Football Associations have standby teams that will represent their states but will invite the players to closed camping once the 3rd term examinations are completed. Ondo State FA will have its screening exercise this weekend while Osun State FA is making plans to hold the exercise at a yet to be fixed date.
