Barrister Victoria Nlemigbo Appointed As PFAN North Central Zone Coordinator
The Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), North Central Zone has appointed Bar. Victoria Nlemigbo, the Coordinator of the Female Footballers Revival/ Opportunity Project (FFROP) within the zone.
The FFEOP creates an opportunity for the revival of the careers of female football players, who are currently unattached to any club.
The letter conveyed to the former Head of Women Football in the FCT and Founder/President, Women Football Allstars Association of Nigeria and signed by the Commissioner of PFAN North Central Zone, Comrade Abdul Sule reads partly: “Your assignment shall cover the entire 6 states within the North Central Zone and the FCT.
The terms of reference shall significantly involve creating a platform which will give opportunities to female footballers within the zone to showcase their talent so as to enable Professional Football Clubs identify and scout the exceptional players from among them”Bar Victoria Nlemigbo is the founder and President of the Women Football All-Stars Association of Nigeria. She is also the Secretary, PFAN Fct Chapter.
Reacting to the appointment, she expressed gratitude to PFAN for presenting such a “rare opportunity” to female footballers to strive in their careers as she promised to repay the trust in her with great efforts and commitment to achieve outstanding results.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Players’ Union for giving the ladies such a rare opportunity. This is what I stand for, the girl-child must be empowered and helped to strive in their career and I am sure they will be looking forward to making good use of this opportunity.”
She said.She added that “I promise to deliver on the mandate I have been given and hope we will achieve historic and record-breaking results in the coming months.”
She further added that genuine efforts will be made to improve the lots and welfare of the female footballers in the country.
