OSF 2021: All is Set for a Glamorous Grand Finale at Osogbo Stadium on Thursday



Osogbo Township Stadium, venue of the grand finale of the ongoing Osun Sports Festival is wearing a new look with the decoration of external and internal structure in preparation for the successful closing ceremony of the Osun Sports Festival which climaxes tomorrow.


A visit by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Osun State Chapter on Wednesday, October 6 saw masterclass arrangement of proscenium Concert Stage for the popular Afro hip-hop Nigerian artistes, Temitope Adekunle a.k.a Small Doctor, 'KPK' Crooner, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji who is professionally known as Mohbad, Ayodeji Olukunle a.k.a Papiwizzy and many more.


Other artistes expected to entertain the guests are Bash the comedian, Do T Phlex,  Fabulous Pizzy, Sadeblaq, Oyinkanade, Wyza, Queen Lagbaja, Baba Alariya, Do Nifty and Keanzo with the duo of disc jockeys Nifty and TFlex as performing djs why Queen Lagbaja is the Hype Person.


Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Yemi Lawal was also seen moving around the stadium on an on- the-spot-assessment of the venue to ensure that the Grand Finale is hitch free and devoid of violence.


Tomorrow's closing ceremony is billed to start 11am with artistic displays by bike men and a lot of other colourful side attractions that will add glamour to the event and make it a memorable one in the history of the state.


Apart from the epic football final between Ejigbo and Ife East, there is going to be a programme in honour of veteran and young sports personalities by the state government.


Also, athletes with outstanding performances from the 31 sporting events will be rewarded with prizes as well as trophy presentation to best local governments.


Governor Gboyega Oyetola will lead arrays of politicians to the event, first of its kind in the South West, packaged by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Yemi Lawal.


All SWAN members are expected to grace the programme.
