Second Edition Of Boys Brigade Nigeria President's Cup Set To Kick-off In Lagos With 26 Teams.
Over 25 battalion of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Lagos State Council Football teams from age bracket of 8- 11 will take part in the second edition of the Boys Brigade Nigeria President's Cup.
The young participants will battle for honours starting from the 19th of March at the Igbobi College, Yaba, Sports Complex, Lagos.
Twenty-six teams altogether will participate in the second edition of this competition, which is mainly bourn out to synergies compact relationship among the young Boys Brigade across Lagos State Council and also to discover, harness the hidden football talents possessed by the young Boys' Brigade.
Lagos South, Epe, Lagos Mainland, Somolu, Odi-Olowo, Bariga, BB-In-School, Apapa, Ifelodun, Surulere, Coker-Aguda, Ojo, Badagry, Alimosho, Amuwo-Odofin, Agege, Ifako-Jaiye, Kosofe, Ipaja-Ayobo, Agbado Oke-Odo, Ikorodu, Ikeja, Oshodi-Isolo and Mushin.
The opening ceremony, on Saturday will see all the participating battalion teams in display coupled with other Boys' Brigade Activities, before the opening match between Ipaja Ayobo Boys' Brigade teams and Agbado Oke-Odo Boys' Brigade team takes centre stage by 9am at the prestigious Igbobi College Football Pitch.
Speaking on the preparedness for the competition, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the tournament, Mr. Ogunsanwo Suyi Ademola said that all the twenty-six participating teams are ready to take part and all necessary logistics have been put in place to have a very successful tourney.
'We are looking forward to an exciting competition this year. The competition is now bigger and better, with twenty-six teams across the Lagos State Council of the Boys' Brigade Nigeria.
"What makes this year special is the fact that, we have kids from the ages of eight and eleven participating, this we think will give the younger ones the opportunity to showcase their talents to the world and also form friendliness and unity amongst them.
"I want to use this opportunity to thank every member of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Lagos State Council, the State President, Arc. O.P.A Ladega, Sir Charles Jeffrey Diete-koiki and all our sponsors.
The opening match between Ipaja-Ayobo Boys Brigade and Agbado Oke-Odo Boys Brigade will kick-off at 9am on Saturday, the 19th of March 2022 at the Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos State.
