Nigerian Duo Sarah Iloduba & Chinansa Sunday Inspire Malabo Kings FC To Equatorial League Title





Nigerian duo of Chinansa Sunday and Sarah Iloduba played a prominent role as Malabo Kings FC won the Equatorial Guinea Primera Division Femenina for the second time.

The CAF Women Champions League Semi-finalist were crowned Champions following their massive win on the last day of the play-offs, gaining more points ahead of their closest rival DVO. Evinayong FC.


An elated Sarah Iloduba, who spoke with Sportsgignews.com was full of praises for her teammates.


"I am glad for this title. My first title since I arrived this great club. Everyone played a huge role in this and we are very happy for this achievement.


Also speaking, Goalkeeper Sunday Chinansa said; 


"This is my second season with the team, and for me it is an amazing experience and exposure," Sunday said.  



"It is hardwork, determination and Commitment. I'm super excited because it wasn’t an easy task this season," she added.


Founded in 2019 by Juan mãne Ondo, the Kings clinched their first Equatorial Guinea Primera Division Femenina that same year, alongside the President's cup.


They overpowered Cameroon's Louves Minproff and DR Congo’s FCF Amani, on their way to the first edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Champions League, where they were eliminated at the semi final by eventual winners Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC. 


Malabo Kings FC was beaten to the third spot in the continent by Morocco's AS FAR Rabat, but they now have another chance to return to the continental scene, this time around with much experience to make a difference.
