Red-Hot Orban Nets Nineth League Goal In Stabaek (2-4) Win

Red-hot Nigerian international, Gift Emmanuel Orban justified his new contract extension with Norwegian side, Stabæk Fotball with a brace to inspire the Norwegian OBOS-LIGAEN campaigners to (4-2) win away from home.


OBOS-LIGAEN campaigners, Fredrikstad Fotballklubb who are winless in it's last (2) games hoped to bounce back to winning ways when they face, Stabæk Fotball on Matchday (18).


Stabæk Fotball who recorded a deserving win on Matchday (17) hoped to consolidate the win when they face, Fredrikstad Fotballklubb away from home on Matchday (18).


First half of the game had the visitors, Stabæk Fotball breaking the deadlock following Gift Emmanuel Orban 22nd minute goal.


With the half time beckoning, the host, Fredrikstad Fotballklubb restored parity to ensure the two sides returned back to the locker on level terms.


Second half of the game had the visitors, Stabæk Fotball, running riots against it's host, scoring (3) goals with its Nigerian star, Gift Emmanuel Orban recording a brace to bring the scoreline to (4-2) at full time.

Gasau Hails Engineer Adeleke, Future Eagles To Camp At Lanreleke Sports Academy

NFF President Ibrahim Gasau has poured encomiums on Engineer Lanre Adeleke, as he informed that the national U-15 male team tagged Future Eagles and its female counterpart will be camping at the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo.  Lanreleke Sports Academy was founded in 2021 and is a co-educational facility, fully residential and specialist Senior Secondary School.  The nation's apex football egg-head who was on a working visit to Osun State, had a first-hand assessment of the level of football development in the state and also saw the sports facilities put in place by the government and private individuals.  Gasau was led by the Osun State Football Association boss Sola Fanawopo to the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo,  Gasau who didn't hide his delight after seeing the state-of-the-art facilities at the Lanreleke Sports Academy said.  "Let me start by applauding the vision of Engineer Lanre Adeleke, this is a huge investment towards developing the youths in Ileogbo.

Thirty Clubs Register For Osun State Football League 23/24 Season

30 football clubs have been cleared by the Osun State Football Association to participate in the Osun State Football League, 23/24 Season, scheduled to kick off in the first quarters of 2024.  In a press statement issued by Mr. Amoo Abayomi, the Secretary of Osun FA, the clubs have been placed into four groups to minimize traveling and by the participating clubs.  He disclosed that the football association will announce the venues to host the four groups as soon as possible. “Security of players, good playing pitches, and television-friendly grounds are some of the variables that will determine the selections of the venues,” the Amoo further explained.
