After The Test Comes The Task! Aisha Falode Is Ready To Serve
In 2017, NFF president Amaju Melvin Pinnick made key appointments in a desperate bid to revive and rebrand the leagues. A chairman and chief executive officer CEO, was appointed for the NNL, NLO and NWFL, with a charge to initiate strategies and policies aimed at relaunching the various leagues after years of struggles.
That decision by the former chairman of the Delta state sports commission has today brought about the success story in the NWFL.
NWFL chairperson Aisha Falode has never been ungrateful and has once again used this moment to appreciate all those that have supported her in the journey so far.
"I want to appreciate the federal government, the honourable sports minister Sunday Dare, NFF President Amaju Pinnick, members of the NFF executive Commitee, members of the NWFL Board and secretariat, the footballers, the Referees, the coaches, the stewards and the media for their support during this past years".
"For five years, we toiled and labored. We spent hours mowing and digging and the time to harvest the fruits of our labour has finally come"
"We have nurtured the league from nothing to something, we have separated the wheat from the chaff and now we have a vibrant and competitive league where any team can win. It is no longer business as usual"
"The victory of Bayelsa United at the regional level is an indication that something unique is happening in the NWFL. We have spent five years to rebrand, now is the time to consolidate"
After the season of planting, comes the season of harvest.
Aisha Falode wants to be elected from her zone as a member of the NFF executive committee. She has since secured a membership form, hoping that come September 30, delegates will elect only intelligent Nigerians on a mission to effect the needed change into the executive committee of the NFF
She says she is in this race because she sincerely believes she has identified the problems and have started working towards a solution which can be done in four years.
She has been tested, who says she cannot be trusted?
