Gusau, The Man Nigeria Football Needs - Senator Moses Cleopas

Counting down to the September 30th NFF elective congress in Benin City, Edo State, Senator Moses Cleopas has affirmed  that Ibrahim Musa Gusau is the man Nigeria football needs to pilot her affairs.

Senator Cleopas, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee of Youth and Sports Development gave his nod to the ambition of Zamfara state FA Chairman to become the next President of the NFF.

The Senator representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, said Gusau has proven himself worthy of the office, given his years of experience and his ability to always rally round football stakeholders.

He revealed this while giving his goodwill message at Gusau' official declaration dinner event held at Asokoro, Abuja on Tueday night.

He used the event to charge other football stakeholders to support Gusau's candidacy, noting that he is a personality with the charisma to administer football more effectively in NFF.

He added that his humble personality will make it easy to interact with the leadership of the National Assembly regarding the affairs of football in the country.

"He is very humble, easy going without ego. He is the man NFF needs to pilot the affairs of Nigeria football," Senator Cleopas said.

"Gusau has very good human relationship. You can see a former governor of Zamfara state here to grace this event, the man Gusau worked with as a governor. He had left office as a governor for years now, but Gusau maintained a good relationship with him and he is here to encourage and support Gusau.

"I want to say that Nigeria football needs a man without ego to deliberate with the leadership of the National Assembly to have easy access for NFF budget to pass through without much difficulties.

"With Gusau as the NFF president, I think that it will be a good relationship between the National Assembly and the NFF," he concluded.
