Maureen Umeh Continues Amazing Form As US St. Malo Record Away Win Over CA Paris FC./

Nigerian International  Maureen Umeugochukwu  gave another glittering performance as her French Club Union Sportive Saint Malo defeated CA Paris Ladies  at the Complexe Sportif Didot, Paris by two goals to one. 



The French Championnat National 2 entered week 6 and the St. Malo based side have won three games, losing only two and are presently third on the log table. 

The 21-year old Defender has started every league game, since joining from Turkish side Adana Idmanyurdu Kadin FC at the beginning of the new season and has shown great solidity at the back, as well as continues to grow in stature at the French Club.

Known to use her height as an additional attacking threat, by advancing into more offensive positions, when needed. A modern and commanding defender, who combines strength, tackling abilities, good technique and physical attributes on the pitch of play. 


"I have always given my all since I joined US. St. Malo. It is a club I am proud to be part of and want to always win games with.

Gasau Hails Engineer Adeleke, Future Eagles To Camp At Lanreleke Sports Academy

NFF President Ibrahim Gasau has poured encomiums on Engineer Lanre Adeleke, as he informed that the national U-15 male team tagged Future Eagles and its female counterpart will be camping at the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo.  Lanreleke Sports Academy was founded in 2021 and is a co-educational facility, fully residential and specialist Senior Secondary School.  The nation's apex football egg-head who was on a working visit to Osun State, had a first-hand assessment of the level of football development in the state and also saw the sports facilities put in place by the government and private individuals.  Gasau was led by the Osun State Football Association boss Sola Fanawopo to the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo,  Gasau who didn't hide his delight after seeing the state-of-the-art facilities at the Lanreleke Sports Academy said.  "Let me start by applauding the vision of Engineer Lanre Adeleke, this is a huge investment towards developing the youths in Ileogbo.

Thirty Clubs Register For Osun State Football League 23/24 Season

30 football clubs have been cleared by the Osun State Football Association to participate in the Osun State Football League, 23/24 Season, scheduled to kick off in the first quarters of 2024.  In a press statement issued by Mr. Amoo Abayomi, the Secretary of Osun FA, the clubs have been placed into four groups to minimize traveling and by the participating clubs.  He disclosed that the football association will announce the venues to host the four groups as soon as possible. “Security of players, good playing pitches, and television-friendly grounds are some of the variables that will determine the selections of the venues,” the Amoo further explained.
