U17WWC; Flamingos Destined To Break Quarter Final Jinx - Olowookeere

Head Coach of the Flamingos Bankole Olowookeere said he is confident that his team will finally break their Quarter-Final jinx, when they face the United State Of America U-17 Women National team on Friday at the Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.

The Nigerian team finished in second place with 6points, behind group leaders Germany, who won all their group games and will be looking forward to making history, by going past the U.S team, to get to the Semi-Final for the first time ever.

The Flamingos reached the Quarter Finals of the U-17 Women's World Cup in 2010, 2012 and 2014 and now in 2022, where the young ambitious Manager feels they are destined to go past the stage this time around.

"We are looking to overcoming this jinx, go past the Quarter Finals and even go ahead to do something unimaginable.

"It has to do with alot of hardwork from the whole squad and I must appreciate everyone that has supported us so far.

"The team keeps improving game by game and like I have always told the players never to relent. The work has just started and we can't afford to let ourselves down.

"The United State Team are a very good side, watched their clips and I must say we have to be at our best to be able to beat them. I have full confidence in the squad and we would keep improving and getting the job done." He Concluded.
