Glory Edet In 'Ecstatic' Mood After Making 2022 CAFWCL Team Of The Tournament

 Bayelsa Queens Defender Glory Edet has shown alot of excitement after being included in the 2022 CAF Women Champions League team of the tournament. 

The African Football Governing body officially announced the 2022 CAFWCL Best XI on Sunday and Glory Edet was the only Bayelsa Queens player to make the cut. 

The list includes Six ASFAR Ladies of Morocco players, Three Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Players, One each from Bayelsa Queens and Simba Queens FC in a 4-3-3 formation.

Edet, who gave a brilliant performance in all of the five matches played in the tournament, helping her side win three matches in the process was very happy, fulfilled and dedicates the accolades to all the teammates, management and technical crew of Bayelsa Queens.

"It's a rare privilege and am happy to be part of the team. 


"It comes with a lot of responsibility and having given my best all through in the tournament, I am glad that my hardwork and that of my teammates was recognized. 

"I sincerely dedicates this to all my teammates, backroom staff and management of the team, not also forgetting the fans who stood by us always. 

"I will continue to put in my best in the colours of Bayelsa Queens and won't relent in ensuring we win the league again." She Concluded. 


Bayelsa Queens ended the tournament in third place, just behind Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and eventual winners ASFAR Ladies of Morocco.
