Spanish La Liga Coordinator To School Stakeholders On 2022 FUBF Day In Osogbo


Projects & Communications Coordinator of the Spanish La Liga in Nigeria, Ayodeji Adegbenro will be the guest speaker at the 2022 Family United by Football (FUBF) Day.

According to Akanni Seyi, Secretary Local Organizing Committee (LOC): "Adegbenro, a seasoned sports administrator with almost two decades of experience, who recently contested to get on the board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as a representative of the Southwest Zone, will speak on the topic: “Emerging Patterns Of Opportunities In Football Industry, Ethics And Challenges”.


 "The event billed for today (Sunday) at the Osogbo Township Stadium, is a gathering of passionate fans united by football in the state.


"The gathering would therefore 

converge to deliberate and chat the new course as regards the emerging football trends in the state and the roles expected of the stakeholders."


Notable sports personalities, journalists and indeed fans are expected to grace the occasion.

Gasau Hails Engineer Adeleke, Future Eagles To Camp At Lanreleke Sports Academy

NFF President Ibrahim Gasau has poured encomiums on Engineer Lanre Adeleke, as he informed that the national U-15 male team tagged Future Eagles and its female counterpart will be camping at the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo.  Lanreleke Sports Academy was founded in 2021 and is a co-educational facility, fully residential and specialist Senior Secondary School.  The nation's apex football egg-head who was on a working visit to Osun State, had a first-hand assessment of the level of football development in the state and also saw the sports facilities put in place by the government and private individuals.  Gasau was led by the Osun State Football Association boss Sola Fanawopo to the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo,  Gasau who didn't hide his delight after seeing the state-of-the-art facilities at the Lanreleke Sports Academy said.  "Let me start by applauding the vision of Engineer Lanre Adeleke, this is a huge investment towards developing the youths in Ileogbo.

Thirty Clubs Register For Osun State Football League 23/24 Season

30 football clubs have been cleared by the Osun State Football Association to participate in the Osun State Football League, 23/24 Season, scheduled to kick off in the first quarters of 2024.  In a press statement issued by Mr. Amoo Abayomi, the Secretary of Osun FA, the clubs have been placed into four groups to minimize traveling and by the participating clubs.  He disclosed that the football association will announce the venues to host the four groups as soon as possible. “Security of players, good playing pitches, and television-friendly grounds are some of the variables that will determine the selections of the venues,” the Amoo further explained.
