NFF Seeks Partnership And Collaboration With The National Technology Development Agency For eFootball


The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF on Wednesday in Abuja expressed interest to partner and collaborate with the National Information Technology Development Agency For eFootball (NITDA), so as to give the eFootball sector, a robust status in the country.

In line with the NFF vision to develop all aspects of the sports in the country, the NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau led his team, which comprises of the General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi and Executive Board Member, Aisha Falode to the Office of the agency to discuss and reach an agreement to develop eFootball. 

While addressing the delegation, the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, alongside the Director, Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions, Dr. Usman Gambo and Yakubu Musa, who is the National Coordinator, Office of the Nigeria Digital Innovation (ONDI) commended the impactful and visionary leadership of NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau and seeked for more improvement on the eFootball sector in the country.  

Inuwa promised to support the NFF in it's quest to promote and develop eFootball, by harnessing the status of the game, which will inturn improve the number of people involved professionally. 


"I am glad that we can work together and achieve what is happening in other parts of the world. Mostly, when you go to FIFA/Playstation tournaments, you hardly see black people there. Indeed we have to encourage our people to participate more. We are ready to do this, with the NFF. " He said.


eFootball has been regarded as a rival to EA Sports' FIFA series; It has been described by The Guardian as the "greatest rivalry" in the history of sports video games and many Football Association bodies in the world have bought into the idea, including neighboring countries like the Ghana FA and Cameroun FA.

Gasau Hails Engineer Adeleke, Future Eagles To Camp At Lanreleke Sports Academy

NFF President Ibrahim Gasau has poured encomiums on Engineer Lanre Adeleke, as he informed that the national U-15 male team tagged Future Eagles and its female counterpart will be camping at the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo.  Lanreleke Sports Academy was founded in 2021 and is a co-educational facility, fully residential and specialist Senior Secondary School.  The nation's apex football egg-head who was on a working visit to Osun State, had a first-hand assessment of the level of football development in the state and also saw the sports facilities put in place by the government and private individuals.  Gasau was led by the Osun State Football Association boss Sola Fanawopo to the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo,  Gasau who didn't hide his delight after seeing the state-of-the-art facilities at the Lanreleke Sports Academy said.  "Let me start by applauding the vision of Engineer Lanre Adeleke, this is a huge investment towards developing the youths in Ileogbo.

Thirty Clubs Register For Osun State Football League 23/24 Season

30 football clubs have been cleared by the Osun State Football Association to participate in the Osun State Football League, 23/24 Season, scheduled to kick off in the first quarters of 2024.  In a press statement issued by Mr. Amoo Abayomi, the Secretary of Osun FA, the clubs have been placed into four groups to minimize traveling and by the participating clubs.  He disclosed that the football association will announce the venues to host the four groups as soon as possible. “Security of players, good playing pitches, and television-friendly grounds are some of the variables that will determine the selections of the venues,” the Amoo further explained.
