Osun Football Association Confirms Venues For League.


The Organising Committee of Osun State Football League have announced match venues for the upcoming league matches.



Following a thorough inspection of match venues as nominated by teams, some pitches have been given a nod having satisfied a clear set out requirements.



The three senatorial districts will agog as league action is set to light up eleven centres across the districts. 

Gearing up for hostilities, teams will play on home and away basis with the top two teams in each group to qualify for Super-8. 


The designated and approved match centres will be bee hive of football activities very soon as grassroots will benefit immensely from the league, this underpin the commitment of custodian of football in the state in rejuvenating football at the grassroots.



Osun FA Broadcast Partners, Blackdrum TV will ensure live coverage of the league matches on the Web and cable television networks. 



Our Sports Data Partner, Ixzdore ensures that the league maintains players', clubs', and matches' historical and live data. From the data, we will generate statistics and analytics useful for player and club ratings to help in player transfers and facilitate proper trickle-down of transfer payments. The raw and analytical data will also be available for clubs, analysts, broadcasters, and betting companies.

Gasau Hails Engineer Adeleke, Future Eagles To Camp At Lanreleke Sports Academy

NFF President Ibrahim Gasau has poured encomiums on Engineer Lanre Adeleke, as he informed that the national U-15 male team tagged Future Eagles and its female counterpart will be camping at the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo.  Lanreleke Sports Academy was founded in 2021 and is a co-educational facility, fully residential and specialist Senior Secondary School.  The nation's apex football egg-head who was on a working visit to Osun State, had a first-hand assessment of the level of football development in the state and also saw the sports facilities put in place by the government and private individuals.  Gasau was led by the Osun State Football Association boss Sola Fanawopo to the Lanreleke Sports Academy in Ileogbo,  Gasau who didn't hide his delight after seeing the state-of-the-art facilities at the Lanreleke Sports Academy said.  "Let me start by applauding the vision of Engineer Lanre Adeleke, this is a huge investment towards developing the youths in Ileogbo.

Thirty Clubs Register For Osun State Football League 23/24 Season

30 football clubs have been cleared by the Osun State Football Association to participate in the Osun State Football League, 23/24 Season, scheduled to kick off in the first quarters of 2024.  In a press statement issued by Mr. Amoo Abayomi, the Secretary of Osun FA, the clubs have been placed into four groups to minimize traveling and by the participating clubs.  He disclosed that the football association will announce the venues to host the four groups as soon as possible. “Security of players, good playing pitches, and television-friendly grounds are some of the variables that will determine the selections of the venues,” the Amoo further explained.
