Unleashing Football Potential: Osun FA Launches Academy Services

 

In response to overwhelming demand, the Osun State Football Association has launched a comprehensive football academy services, which will empower young talents to reach new heights!





The programmes is designed to develop the unearthed football talents across the state and give them the opportunities to live new experiences and gain new skills which will set them on a pathway to their career. 


"Our mission is to cultivate world-class players, equipped with technical, tactical, physical, and mental excellence," declared Sola Fanawopo, Osun FA Chairman. "We're committed to nurturing the next generation of football stars."



The Osun FA Academy services clearly offers:


1. Professional Coaching: Expert training from licensed coaches


2. Player Development Programs: Tailored training for goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards


3. Youth Development: Age-specific training for players

It was a festival of football, unity, and youthful excellence on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, as the curtain fell on the much-celebrated Edo Governor’s Cup 2025. The finals, held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, drew a capacity crowd of students, teachers, sports lovers, and top government officials, all gathered to witness the climax of a tournament that had, over several weeks, captivated the entire state. Gov. Okpebolo Rewards Edo Governors Cup Champions With Brand-New Buses

 Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebolo rewarded the champions of the 2025 Edo Governors Cup with brand-new Toyota Hiace buses. In an electrifying finale held on Tuesday, 27th May 2025, Ogbe Secondary School stamped their authority in the male category, defeating St. Peter's Grammar School, Agenebode 3-0. Goals from Osifo Believe, Idor Samuel, and Izregba Ogijo secured a convincing victory and crowned them champions. In the female category, Idia College proved their class with a 2-0 win over St. Angela Grammar School. Strikes from Umoru Fatima and Enoduwenben Favour ensured the girls lifted the coveted trophy.
