CAFWCL; "Hard Pill To Swallow'': Kasali After ASFAR Ladies Semifinal Loss.


Bayelsa Queens Defender Rihanat Kasali said losing to ASFAR Ladies on Wednesday Evening was a 'hard pill to swallow,' but admitted that they played far better than their opponents, unfortunately, couldn't convert their chances.

The 'Prosperity Ladies' outclassed their Moroccan counterpart in the second half of the Semi-Final encounter, created numerous chances, but failed to score, with the ASFAR Ladies Goalkeeper making alot of amazing saves to deny them.

The only goal of the game was scored by Ibtissam Jraïdi whose 27th minute strike was enough to earn her side the hard fought victory.

"Very disappointing not to have made it through to the final. It's very sad for all of us and it's indeed a hard pill to for me and my teammates to swallow', She noted. 

"We were outstanding, most especially in the second half, we outplayed them, they were under a lot of pressure, but yet we were so unlucky not to have scored. 

"For us, we have to move on quickly, because we have a game to play in Some few days away and we need to come out positive from the encounter. We are indeed very sorry for letting our fans down. We should all expect a positive result on Saturday." She concluded.  


Bayelsa Queens will take on Simba Queens of Tanzania in Saturday’s third place match.


In the first semi-final also played on Wednesday Mamelodi Sundowns overcame Simba Queens 1-0 courtesy Boitumelo Rabele’s 76th minute effort.
